| Fleurs de Ville WONDER Date: Wednesday May 27th Time: 11 am. Meeting place: Lobby of the Visitor Center at Van Dusen Gardens Optional: Lunch at the Shaughnessy Restaurant at 12:30 pm. (at your cost) We are taking a group to see the amazing display of floral creativity called “Fleurs de Ville” that will be held at Van Dusen Garden in May. Admission to the exhibit comes with a daily admission to the Gardens, which for Seniors is $13.48. If you are a member of the Gardens, that will admit you free. You will need either one before you meet with our group at 11 am. To buy a ticket, go online to the Van Dusen website, or purchase the day of the visit before you meet us. The ticket is good all day if you wish to extend your visit. The Fleurs de Ville Tour will be a maximum of 25. Please register by May 20. | Picnic in the Park The Management Committee is pleased to host the fifth annual Probus Picnic in the Park. Probus’ annual Picnic in the Park is an event you won’t want to miss! It replaces our July meeting and provides a great opportunity to get to know other Probus members, share a meal, play some games and have some laughs. There is no cost to attend but we do need you to register in advance, so we get the catering numbers right. When: Thursday, July 9. 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Where: Quilchena Park – there will be lots of us so head to the crowd. Lunch: Catered by Four Olives with chicken and lamb souvlaki, fresh Greek salad, lemon potatoes, rice pilaf, pita and tzatziki, fresh fruit and dessert. Water and non alcoholic beverages will also be provided. Cost: Free for Probus members. $25 for members’ guests. Activities: Mixing and mingling, food, games, bocci ball and more. Please bring any games that would be enjoyed by our members! What you need to bring: A lawn chair and an alcoholic beverage if you want to have a beer or some wine. It’s allowed in the park.
