Optional: Lunch at the Shaughnessy Restaurant at 12:30 pm.

We are taking a group to see the amazing display of floral creativity

called “Fleurs de Ville” that will be held at Van Dusen Garden in May.

Admission to the exhibit comes with a daily admission to the Gardens,

which for Seniors is $13.48. If you are a member of the Gardens, that

will admit you free. You will need either one before you meet with our

group at 11 am. To buy a ticket in advance, go online to the Van Dusen website,

vandusengarden.org

or purchase at the Van Dusen Gardens the day of the event before you meet us. The ticket is good all day if you wish to extend your visit.

The Fleurs de Ville Tour will be a maximum of 25. Please register by May 20.

Probus Picnic in the Park

Probus’ annual Picnic in the Park is an event you won’t want to miss. It replaces our July speaker and provides a great opportunity to get to know other Probus members, share a meal, play some games and have some laughs.

There is no cost to attend but we do need you to register in advance, so we get the catering numbers right.

When: Thursday, July 10, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Quilchena Park – there will be lots of us so head to the crowd.

Every second month, join other Probus members to dine out at some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants. We’ll choose a restaurant, let you know where and when, and you let us know if you’re available to join and we’ll make the reservation. Multiple tables for 6, and we’ll mix up the seating for each event. Not only will you eat great food, you’ll make great friends. If the numbers permit, we may even grab a private room, and all sit together.

A small group of men have been meeting at the Milltown pub in Marpole for lunch after each Probus Vancouver West speaker event and we’d like to extend a welcome to other men to join us.
